Two Months

Two Months
Weight: 14 lbs 5 oz, 75th percentile
Height: 24 3/4 inches, 83rd percentile
Head: 16 3/4 inches, >98th percentile

At two months, T:
-Smiles at us! On purpose! It's fantastic and G and I just eat it up. We've been close to getting a giggle out of him, but no luck yet.
-Rubs his face back and forth on our chests and shoulders all the time. (It makes me wonder if his face is itchy.)

-Holds on to my shirt while his nurses.
-Vigorously kicks his right leg when he gets excited.
-Likes books! Much to his dad's delight, T will sit and let us read to him while he looks at the pictures. He's focusing better now and seems to enjoy the cuddling too.
-Is getting better at holding up his head. He doesn't really love tummy time, but I'm trying to put him down for a couple of short periods every day so he gets stronger.

-Loops his tiny tongue when he coughs. It might be the cutest thing I've ever seen. He coughs and gags himself quite frequently, but he hasn't been sick yet. Cross your fingers that we continue to stay healthy.
-Hates to have his eyes wiped, face washed and clothes pulled over his head. Speaking of cute things, he pulls a great grumpy face when we get him dressed.

-Loves his binki.
-Scratches at the back of his head a lot. If we don't put socks over his hands, he makes himself bleed. At night, we put socks over his hands and swaddle him and he still occasionally wakes up with scratches. I keep his fingernails trimmed, I promise. Poor baby.
-Falls asleep quickly. G says he gets it from me. It's pretty amazing. I think its because we've discovered what we call the MAGIC SLEEPING POSITION. When he gets tired, we wrap him up and give him his binki. Then while cradling him, we roll him in toward our bodies, so his forehead is pressed up against us and his binki is held in place. As soon as he's there, he relaxes and falls right asleep. It really only takes us less than a minute to put him down. AMAZING.

-Traveled to Utah to meet the rest of his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We had a great time and everyone was so nice to accommodate us. T did pretty well on the flight going to Utah and slept the entire flight back to Nebraska. Thank you T!! And thank you Mom & Dad for bringing us out to visit. We loved every minute!

Meeting Aunt Mindy

We were in Provo - I had to take him to our Alma Mater. He slept the entire time. Which gave me more time to buy chocolate covered cinnamon bears and baby BYU gear. It made me miss school.
