- Close to crawling. He maneuvers from sitting to his tummy and rarely falls over from sitting. On his tummy he can work himself around in a full circle and sometimes figures out how to push himself backwards. No forward movement yet! I'm excited to see him get moving, but not so excited to baby-proof my house. Mostly because we'll only be in our townhome for 2 more months, so changing everything around and baby-proofing will only last a little while. He's just started to pull himself up on a few things, but he's still really unsteady on his feet. He does best when we're practically holding him up against the couch or our bodies.
- So smiley. Aunt Michelle says he has a watermelon smile - a full open mouth smile. It's so cute to see his two little teeth poking out. On that note - he's got teeth! Two of them! The first came in the day after his 6 month birthday and the second came in about a week later. No biting to report yet, although my friends all assure me it's only a matter of time.

- Really active. he constantly wants to play and is always leaning out of our arms or trying to reach something that he shouldn't. Just yesterday we went for a walk and 30 minutes away from our house i realized that T was sucking on the dish towel that had been hanging from the oven door. He must have swiped it from his stroller on our way through the kitchen. He's knocked the baby food out of our hands a couple of times and grabs at our face (see the lovely picture below). All his activity make me anxious for him to start crawling and walking - I can just see the little handful now.
- Eating (in order of preference): rice cereal, sweet potatoes, bananas, prunes, carrots, green beans, & peas. Up next is squash, then apples, pears and peaches. He's a pretty good eater - I think he likes eating from a spoon like the grown-ups. Plus, he's sitting up, so he can look around and check out all the action. Nursing is becoming more and more difficult because it requires him to hold still and he can't see anything.

- Shakes his head yes and no and will copy cat us if we do it to him. It is seriously adorable and G could not be more proud of his first "trick." He's been babbling a lot more lately too - I think he thinks he's talking back to us.
- Sleeping well at night. He goes down between 7 and 8pm, wakes up once to eat between 3 and 5am and then back up for the day between 7 and 8am. (Daylight savings was this past week so we've had a couple of days of sleeping in until 9am - heavenly!) Depending on the day, he takes 2 or 3 naps. One in the morning (down between 9 and 10) and one in the afternoon (down between 1 & 2). If his afternoon nap is long, we just put him to bed closer to 7. If its shorter, he takes an early evening nap (down around 5pm) and we put him to bed closer to 8.
he is just SO incredibly adorable! love the pictures of him and you and of G too, in the below post. he's getting so big!
