Five Months

Five Months

At five months, T is...
- Missing his buddy, Greyson. We had fun with these two cousins (only 15 days apart) on our trip to Utah over Christmas. Aren't they the sweetest? T is so lucky to have a cousin so close to his own age. I am sure they will grow up to be close friends.

- Very interested in our food. He's finally figured out what we're doing when we're eating and reaches out for our hands or utensils or dishes. In fact, he reaches now for most everything and as soon as he's got a hand on it - into his mouth it goes. We've had a few messes as we learn to keep things FAR away from his little grabber hands.

- Enjoying rice cereal. He did pretty well with his first feeding (1/11), but wasn't too sure about the new texture. Over the next week he just kept improving. He's still not perfect and ends up with cereal all over his face, but he seems to like it much better now.

- Sitting up pretty well unassisted. He falls over backward sometimes, but can keep himself up if he falls forward or to the side. He loves to be up so he can see what's going on around him. He doesn't tolerate lying on his tummy or back for very long. He wants to be up and involved in the action!
- Not rolling around much. He rolled once from his back to his tummy just before his five month birthday, but doesn't see the need to do it again. He was reaching for my cell phone when he rolled - he loves anything with a screen!

- Very drooly! We're watching for teeth, but none in sight yet. T's doctor said some babies drool for months before any teeth cut through.
- Still loving music. He loves for us to sing to him... new favorites include Wheels on the Bus and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. He also likes to watch the TV when there is music on.

I love this boy and can't believe he's ours. It is so fun to see him grow up and learn how to play and move. I am so thankful.
